Whitney
Brim-DeForest
Director
Whitney Brim-DeForest graduated
from Brown University in 2004. Her honors thesis focused on the gliding
kinematics of the Southern flying squirrel (Glaucomys volans), working
under the direction of Professor Sharon Swartz and Doctoral candidate
Kristin Bishop. She recently worked as a research assistant for Professor
Douglass Morse (2004) at the Darling Marine Center, in the field of
entomology. She has volunteered around the world with World-Wide Opportunities
on Organic Farms, promoting sustainable agriculture. She is currently
serving in the Peace Corps in Senegal (through 2006), where she will
be working with local farmers. She heads most of the research at The
White Kiwi Foundation.
